Special Notes: While it mimics a bromeliad in its form, Cochliostema odoratissimum is an epiphyte from the Spiderwort family. Native to South and Central America and rarely available commercially, it makes a striking greenhouse or houseplant specimen. Small purple flowers grow nestled in the base with magenta sepals and a strong fragrance. This plant prefers bright filtered light and consistent water. Average indoor temperatures are best, with high humidity.
