Common name: Banana Shrub
Special Notes: Magnolia figo can be grown inside or outdoors in the Bay Area. This 6’ tall specimen has been happily living in a greenhouse and would need some time to adjust to an outdoor garden. Fascinating flowers bloom from April-June; small and yellow with a burgundy accent, they smell like banana candy.
